Artist Acro - Ch 27 (English)

 

Volume 4, let's go!! It's been a while whoof, finally got a small kick of motivation to scanlate and fortunately, editing one page reminded me of how easy it is to do this (compared to some of the other stuff I have to do) and I burned through all 27 images in just a few days. It helps also that MD is finally back up and running (whoohoo!) and starting to upload there again as well is making me want to keep a good buffer in place again.

Raws for this volume have been pulled up to Chapter 31 or so, and on editing this one I realized that my the screenshotting boundaries in my python script are a bit off along the top and side so now there's a weird sliver of border along those edges :/ I suspect the dimensions change in each volume so the Honto reader boundaries change, so next time I go back to pull the remaining pages in this volume I'll probably have to adjust the coordinates. Not gonna go back and redo the pages I've already pulled, so hopefully it's not noticeable :)

Re-reading BK and hoo. This page still gives me chills. I am weak for this kind of naming and power-ups.

Still blows my mind that I managed to finish this amazing series myself.

Artist Acro - Vol 3 Omake (English)

 

 

Aaaaand we made it! Final bit of content for Artist Acro Volume 3! Feels pretty intense to have made it so far despite the dragging feet. This omake (bonus) wasn't very long page-wise, but hoo boy was there so much text to translate. Not sure if I've mentioned this before here, but I've noticed that while the chapters of Artist Acro are significantly shorter than that of Buster Keel, there's like twice the text in each page of AA while in BK there were many action-only pages. So the amount of TL and editing work across the two series isn't actually all that different.

Anyway this little extra was pretty entertaining! Hope I did a half-decent job on it and it's enjoyable to y'all too. I'll be moving on to collecting the raws for Volume 4 next, and resuming scanlating on Chapter 27 as time permits! Looking forward to it :D

Artist Acro - Ch 26 (English)

 

Here's Chapter 26 of Artist Acro, the final one in Volume 3! I really tried to stick to my work schedule for scanlating and though I still couldn't stay on task most of the time, finishing this as I did I consider a win :D It was real hard to translate - a lot of funky sentence structuring in the original Japanese making it real hard to find an English equivalent that conveyed the same emphasis while still sounding like valid English... it was a struggle. So yeah if it sounds really off, this' why. 

Aside from the wording, I found this chapter pretty interesting content-wise! I'm pretty excited for what comes next in Vol. 4 - hoping we finally get some resolution to the many threads the story keeps opening. Like the last volume though, I'll first be translating the Omake (bonus) content separately since it's like half a chapter's worth of content on it's own.

Artist Acro - Ch 25 (English)

 

Here's my announcement post for Artist Acro Chapter 25!! Thanks once again to blu for leaving such a kind comment and remind me that this can still be appreciated by others T_T It really gives me some much-needed motivation to do work on this series, which I really want to read despite how little energy I have for it. This' the second-last chapter of Vol 3, so there's just chapter 26 and the omake content left for this volume before we move on!

Things begin moving again in the right direction (hopefully?) with the introduction of a new character! We also get a small cool moment from Acro, which is always nice to see ^_^

Artist Acro - Ch 24 (English)

 

Chapter 24 of Artist Acro!! Hey lookit that, uploading it the day after I finish it. Instead of. Fourteen later. Ahahaha--

Uhhh so I feel the need to raise the point that this chapter flows rather awkwardly... I'm not sure if it's just my poor attempts at phrasing or just my own guts feelings, but a lot of the thoughts and dialogue in this particular chapter didn't make a lot of sense to me. I did my best to interpret things and translate them to something sensible, but the result is a bit patchwork-y given my own pervasive confusion...

Artist Acro - Ch 23 (English)

 

 

 

Soooo... MD is down for a bit :( I have hope that it'll be back better than ever, all the power to the team behind it, and in the meantime I'll continue posting any new chaps of AA that I finish here! Which I have been kind of truant in doing, as Ch 23 has been done for like. Two weeks now or something. Hahaha. Well better late than never, right? I'm still managing to keep up the self-discipline when it comes to scanlating, so at least there's that. Without MD up, I'm more likely to actually post ch 24 once that one's done. Very curious about where all this is going, and from what I've seen in the raw we don't get very far (displacement-wise) in this volume, so I've been looking forward to making progress!

Artist Acro - Ch 22 (English)

 

Chapter 22, done and up! Health hasn't been the best these past couple of weeks so my self-imposed scanlating schedule has been a bit disrupted, but it's nothing serious or anything so I figure I'll just take it easier and work at a slower pace. That's what my buffer for MD uploads is for anyway :) 

That being said, haven't got a lot to say 'cause the brain juice is low, so silly rambles remain on hiatus! You lucky folks :P

Artist Acro - Ch 21 (English)

 

Here it is, very late, chapter 21 of Artist Acro!! I finished this last week and then straight-up forgot to post it. Whoops. Once again pretty much reminded by blu's wonderful comments. Do I run this blog or...?

Kidding aside, we get a closer look at the inner workings of the Blue Knight subjugation corps in this chap, as well as some more introspection and progress (?) on Deco's side! I am very keen to find out what the outcome on his end is, it seems juicy now hehehe. 

Normally I'd ramble (read, whine) about the scanlating struggle for this chap, but honestly it's been too long so I just don't remember! :DDD So none of that today. Y'all are spared.

Artist Acro - Ch 20 (English)

 

Chapter 20, done! I kicked myself in the butt and basically did the entire chap in one sitting 'cause I've been so distracted with other things, I'm worried I'm gonna drift too far away from this project. It helps that I've uploaded what I have to Mangadex so I feel like I need to hold myself to a higher standard of frequency lol. AND, I got the sweetest comment here, that kind of thing lights the little fire under my motivation hehehe.

Anyway, we make some spatial and emotional progress in this chap with these two (+Pickles), though most of the action seems to be coming up in the next few chaps. It was a bit of a struggle as usual to TL into readable phrases that still maintained a level of accuracy... but that's the status quo now with this series OTZ

Uploads on MD are currently a little behind this site, because I want to pace the uploads there a bit but it'll catch up eventually. I do recommend reading there, their reader is a lot nicer than what Blogger can do haha.
