How to Buy the Official Volumes

The scanlated/typeset chapters I am posting on this blog were sourced from the original raw manga, that I purchased off honto.jp, a huge source of Japanese manga, books, and other goods.

I love manga so much, I can't conceive of a world where valiant volunteers did not spend their time and energy on translating manga for free for the public, but the possibility would simply not even exist without the authors' original works in the first place.
Without the original authors' creative capacity, tenacity, hard work and dedication, we would not have all these masterpieces in the world today. So even if you have a little bit of spare income and are reading scanlated manga for free, I would definitely put it towards buying the volumes and magazines, just to pay your dues to the authors.

IT'S NOT EXPENSIVE
Buster Keel was really quite cheap, one volume cost 454 yen, or about $4.30 USD. Stuff in East Asia is cheap. This title was also available in e-book format, which meant I got a digital copy instantly with no shipping costs. That's 193 pages of hand-made manga for a good coffee, it blew my mind.

I will also never run any ads or accept any revenue from my work. I mean, that sounds hasslesome, and definitely not my place.

So anyway, I highly encourage you to go and buy the official works, even if you can't read the raws directly. Or just learn Japanese like I am, and discover the wonders of the language! Or more like, well, Google Translate.


Honto.jp
There are several guides out there on how to use honto.jp, which requires you to sign up with an account before you can make purchases. They're great and walk you through everything, but I also recommend translating the website using Google Translate or whatever other tools are available, because that makes your navigation life much, much easier.

Tip: When you need to enter in Japanese characters (i.e. for usernames), I recommend going to Google Translate and using their handwriting input tool to create some random Japanese characters.
